Gold and Silver Prices Surge
The festival of Holi may be three days away, but the real celebration has already begun in the Sarafa market in Patna. Despite the inauspicious period of Kharmas, the shine of gold has not dulled. In fact, gold prices have broken all previous records. The rate of silver has also seen a significant increase, with a jump of Rs 1000 per gram. As of today, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold has reached Rs 62,300.
Market Trends and Predictions
According to Ajay Kumar, the Vice President of the Patliputra Sarafa Association, the price of gold and silver tends to rise during festivals. This sudden surge in prices was not anticipated and has been ongoing since the festival of Shivratri. Analysts predict that gold prices may reach an all-time high during Dhanteras this year.
Exchange Rates and Quality Assurance
Today, the price of 22-carat gold per 10 grams is Rs 62,300, while 24-carat gold is priced at Rs 69,500 per 10 grams. Silver is being sold at Rs 74,000 per kilogram.
