Theft of Gold Jewelry at Ashirwad Gold Loan Bank in Sheikhpura
An incident of theft occurred at the Ashirwad Gold Loan Bank in Barbigha Nagar area of Sheikhpura. The accused in this case had their regular bail rejected by the Patna High Court. The accused will now have to stay in jail. Meanwhile, the police have arrested the thieves under the leadership of former SP Kartikeya Sharma.
Robbery of Gold Jewelry and Cash
Last year on December 18, thieves stole gold jewelry worth more than 2 crore rupees and cash of 2 lakh rupees with the help of the branch manager of the bank. Despite giving the incident a color of loot, the police conducted a scientific investigation and arrested the thieves. All the jewelry that was stolen was recovered by the police.
Bail Rejection and Court Orders
The bail plea of the accused Girish Kumar and Krishna Murari, who are currently in jail, was rejected by the Patna High Court. Another accused Vivek Kumar alias Neeraj withdrew his bail plea before the order was passed. The High Court also released the Gold Loan Bank from presenting the stolen gold jewelry in court, allowing the bank to resume gold transactions with its customers.
Local Court Orders and Challenges
As per the demand of the local court in Sheikhpura, the jewelry that was recovered was ordered to be presented before the police and the court. The regional manager of the bank, Pratap Vishwas, had challenged the conditions set by the district court in the Patna High Court.
शेखपुरा के बरबीघा नगर क्षेत्र में स्थित आशीर्वाद गोल्ड लोन बैंक से स्वर्ण आभूषण की चोरी हुई थी, जिसमें आरोपी को जमानत खारिज कर दी गई है। चोरी के आरोपी को जेल में ही रहना होगा, जबकि पुलिस ने चोरों को गिरफ्तार कर बरामद किया था। पटना उच्च न्यायालय ने दो अभियुक्तों की जमानत याचिका खारिज कर दी है, जबकि एक अभियुक्त ने जमानत याचिका वापस ले ली है। न्यायालय ने बैंक को बरामद स्वर्ण आभूषण को न्यायालय में प्रस्तुत करने के बंधन से मुक्त कर दिया है, जिससे बैंक अपने ग्राहकों के साथ सोने का लेन-देन शुरू कर सकेगा।
