Highlights:
★Under the initiative of MP Alok Kumar Suman, the installation of 140 CCTV cameras has begun in Gopalganj city in Bihar. The cameras will provide surveillance and monitoring of various activities in the city, as well as assist the police in reaching the culprits in case of any crimes.
★The cost of installing these cameras is estimated to be around 1 crore rupees. The cameras will be of high quality and will be able to capture vehicle numbers as they pass by.
★The control room for the CCTV cameras will be operated by the local police station and SP office, with the aim of keeping a close eye on criminal activities and incidents.
High-Quality Cameras for Enhanced Security:
★The selected locations for the installation of the CCTV cameras are the main areas of the municipal council, where incidents of harassment and assault against school-going girls and women have been reported in the past. The lack of CCTV cameras at prominent places in the city has made it difficult for the police to reach the culprits in case of theft or other crimes.
★The CCTV cameras being installed are of high quality and will have a capturing power of 500 meters, with forensic angle scanning up to 200 meters. This means that the number plates of vehicles within a 200-meter range can be scanned. Maintenance work will also be carried out by the company responsible for the cameras.
★The locations where the cameras are being installed include Ambadekar Chowk, Janglia Mode, Post Office Chowk, Banjari Chowk, NH-531 and NH-27 Mode, Turkaan Pul, Kaushalya Chowk, Station Road, Harkhua Mode, Dargah Road, Ghosh Mode, Arar Chowk, Haziapur Chowk, Sadhu Chowk, Jadopur Chowk, Lakhpatiya Mode, Hotel Kailash Mode, Mauniya Chowk, Thana Chowk, and Block Mode, among others.
बिहार के गोपालगंज जिले के शहरी इलाके में सांसद सह जदयू के राष्ट्रीय कोषाध्यक्ष डॉ. आलोक कुमार सुमन की मद से नगर परिषद क्षेत्र में 140 जगहों पर कैमरा लग रहा है। इसकी कुल कीमत एक करोड़ रूपये है। इन कैमरों के माध्यम से शहर की गतिविधियों पर नजर रहेगी और अपराधियों को पकड़ने में पुलिस को मदद मिलेगी। सीसीटीवी कैमरों का कंट्रोल रूम नगर थाना और एसपी कार्यालय से संचालित होगा। सीसीटीवी कैमरे बेहतर क्वालिटी के होंगे और 200 मीटर दूर खड़े वाहन की नंबर प्लेट भी स्कैन की जा सकेगी। इसके अलावा गोपालगंज जिले के कई स्थानों पर भी सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाए जा रहे हैं।
