The Gopalganj police have taken strict legal action following a violent clash between two communities in the Manjhagarh police station area. The incident, which took place in Dhankhar village, resulted in injuries to members of both sides after a minor dispute escalated into a physical altercation. Following the investigation, the police have arrested four accused individuals involved in the violence. Senior officials, including the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Sadar-02), visited the spot to ensure law and order were maintained.

Details of the Arrested Individuals

Based on the formal complaints lodged by both parties, the Manjhagarh police registered cases and moved swiftly to apprehend those responsible. A total of four people have been arrested and sent to judicial custody.

  • First Group: Riyazuddin and Mo. Akram, both residents of Dhankhar village, were arrested by the police.
  • Second Group: Mithu Yadav and Ravindra Yadav, residents of Duldulia Tola Pipra, were taken into custody.

How the Dispute Started

The conflict originated from a road accident in Dhankhar village. According to police reports, a motorcycle hit a child who was playing near a house. This accident led to a heated argument between the two sides, which quickly turned into a violent clash involving physical assault. The injured persons from both groups were admitted to Sadar Hospital in Gopalganj for medical treatment.

Police Action and Current Situation

Immediately after the incident, the local administration organized a peace committee meeting to defuse the tension between the communities. Police officials have confirmed that the situation in the village is now normal and under control. The police are maintaining a strict vigil in the area to prevent any further disturbances, and the legal process against the arrested accused is underway.
