Violent Clash in Jethuli Village, Patna
On Monday, a gun battle took place between two groups over an old dispute in Jethuli village, Patna. CCTV footage of the incident shows some individuals brandishing weapons. The clash stemmed from a dispute that occurred about 15 months ago, with the two groups facing off once again. A person connected to the previous incident arrived home after being released on bail on Monday, leading to the angry reaction from the other group resulting in gunfire. However, there were no reports of anyone being injured in the shooting.
Police Response and Arrests
Upon receiving information about the incident, police from various stations rushed to the scene to assess the situation. Rural SP Roushan Kumar and other police officers arrived to handle the serious situation. According to Rural SP Roushan Kumar, some individuals associated with the accused group had arrived in Jethuli village after being released on bail to establish dominance. This led to the gun battle. Prompt action by the STF resulted in the arrest of 10 individuals, including Fathua Chief Rajneesh Kumar, and the recovery of 10 weapons from them. Raids are ongoing to apprehend other suspects involved in the incident.
Previous Violent Incident in 2023
In a previous violent incident in 2023, a heated gun battle erupted in Jethuli village over a parking dispute on March 8. Five individuals were shot, resulting in the deaths of three people. The incident was captured on video and went viral at the time. Gautam Kumar was fatally shot at the scene, while Roshan Kumar and Mudrika Ray succumbed to their injuries during treatment at the hospital. Chandrika Ray and Nagendra Ray were also injured in the incident. Allegations were made that Umesh Ray, a member of one of the groups, fired more than 50 rounds during the clash. Umesh Ray is the main accused and the brother of Bachcha Ray. Enraged individuals targeted the accused’s home, marriage hall, and vehicles in response to the incident.
पटना के जेठुली गांव में सोमवार को दो गुटों के बीच पुरानी विवाद को लेकर गोलीबारी हुई थी। इस घटना में कुछ लोग हथियार लहराते हुए दिख रहे थे। इस घटना में कोई गंभीर घायली नहीं हुई थी। पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए 10 लोगों को हिरासत में लिया था और 10 हथियार भी बरामद किए गए थे। इसमें अन्य लोगों की गिरफ्तारी के लिए छापेमारी जारी है। यह घटना उसी गांव में हुई थी, जहां 2023 में एक अन्य गोलीबारी में तीन लोगों की मौत हो गई थी। इस घटना में उमेश राय नामक आरोपी के खिलाफ आरोप था कि उन्होंने 50 राउंड से अधिक गोलियां चलाई थीं।
