Action Taken Against Brokers and Private Ambulances

The administrative team led by DM Varsha Singh found concrete evidence of middlemen misleading poor patients to private hospitals. These brokers were operating within the hospital premises to earn commissions for patient referrals. The following actions were taken during the inspection:

  • Two brokers were arrested directly from the hospital premises while interacting with patients.
  • Seven private ambulances were seized and removed from the hospital campus.
  • Two ambulance drivers are currently in custody for questioning regarding their entry.
  • Evidence of financial transactions between staff and private clinics was found on mobile devices.

The DM stated that brokerage and irregularities in health services will not be tolerated in the district. This raid is part of a larger cleanup operation to improve the quality of government healthcare services for the common man.

New Rules and Administrative Action for Hospital Staff

The Hospital Superintendent and the Hospital Manager were found absent from their duties during the midnight inspection. The DM has issued show-cause notices to both officials for negligence and further disciplinary action is expected. To prevent such incidents in the future, the administration has implemented strict new guidelines for the facility.

Category New Regulation Implemented
Identification Mandatory ID cards for all doctors and health workers at all times.
Ambulance Entry Total ban on the entry and parking of private ambulances in premises.
Ward Access Only patients and authorized attendants are allowed in the wards.

The administration is currently cross-referencing the seized mobile data to identify other individuals involved in this commission racket. Monitoring has been increased to ensure that health workers follow the new protocols and remain present during their assigned shifts.
