Heat wave wreaks havoc in Bihar

The heat wave in Bihar has led to the issuance of red and orange alerts for 20 districts. Amidst the severe heat, the Nitish government is on high alert. Health Minister Mangal Pandey has directed all categories of hospitals to ensure the availability of at least three hundred types of medicines so that patients do not face any issues. He has instructed district civil surgeons to stay on alert mode due to the intense heat and heatstroke.

Health Minister reviews state health plans

Health Minister Mangal Pandey conducted a state-level review meeting of health-related schemes on Wednesday. Along with department officials, all civil surgeons and heads of medical colleges were present. He conducted a detailed review of the severe heat, heatstroke, and acute encephalitis syndrome disease and provided necessary directions to officials. He has instructed hospitals to always have at least 300 medicines available and also provided guidelines for patients affected by heat and heat waves.

Intense heatwave continues in Bihar

On Wednesday, news of eight people losing their lives due to heatstroke in different districts was reported in Bihar. Additionally, in Navada, 12 girls fell sick suddenly at the Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls’ School due to the heat. The heatwave is ongoing in 20 districts including Aurangabad, Gaya, Navada, Arwal, Buxar, Kaimur, and Bhojpur. The weather department has issued red alerts for 7 districts and orange alerts for 13 districts. A red alert has also been issued for the capital city of Patna due to the heat.

पटना में भीषण गर्मी के कारण हीट वेव का कहर जारी है और इसके चलते स्वास्थ्य मंत्री मंगल पांडेय ने अस्पतालों में दवाओं की उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। इसके साथ ही उन्होंने अक्यूट इंसेफ्लाइटिस सिंड्रोम बीमारी के नियंत्रण के लिए भी तैयारी करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। बिहार में अलग-अलग जिलों में लू की चपेट से कई लोगों की मौत हो रही है और मौसम विभाग ने 20 जिलों के लिए रेड और ऑरेंज अलर्ट जारी किया है। राजधानी पटना में भी रेड अलर्ट जारी किया गया है।
