Highlights:
★The Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Avadh Bihari Choudhary, met with RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav at his residence in Patna.
★The meeting took place after Choudhary assumed the responsibility of the National President of JDU (U) following the resignation of Rajiv Ranjan Singh ‘Lalan’, a trusted ally of CM Nitish Kumar.
★The purpose of the meeting was to extend New Year greetings to Lalu Prasad Yadav and there was no political agenda involved.
Political Turmoil in Bihar:
★Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Bihar, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Avadh Bihari Choudhary, met with RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav at his residence in Rabri Devi’s house.
★Shyam Bihari Prasad, former JDU minister, also visited Rabri Devi’s house along with other party members.
★During the meeting, Tej Pratap Yadav, Lalu Prasad’s eldest son and minister, was also present. The Speaker clarified to the journalists that the purpose of his visit was to extend New Year greetings to Lalu Prasad and there was no political motive.
Efforts to Resolve Differences:
★The meeting between Avadh Bihari Choudhary and Lalu Prasad Yadav took place after Rajiv Ranjan Singh ‘Lalan’, a trusted ally of CM Nitish Kumar, resigned from his position, leading to speculations of differences between Lalan and Lalu.
★However, to dispel these speculations, Nitish and Lalu were seen together upon their return from Delhi, where they were warmly welcomed by JDU workers.
★Lalan has also threatened to take legal action against media organizations that spread rumors about his involvement in a conspiracy to remove Nitish from his position, allegedly orchestrated by RJD.
★It was reported that this alleged plan aimed to promote Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu’s younger son and Deputy Chief Minister, as the future leader of the Mahagathbandhan in the 2025 state assembly elections.
★Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar also visited a private hospital to meet his old associate, Shivananad Tiwari, who is currently the National Vice President of RJD.
Lalan’s Statement and Political Agenda:
★In a public meeting in his parliamentary constituency Munger, Lalan urged people not to be influenced by rumors spread by the BJP-backed media.
★He claimed that there is no distrust between Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav and that the Mahagathbandhan is determined to defeat the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
★Lalan had previously stated to a news channel that due to his engagement in his constituency before the Lok Sabha elections, he voluntarily resigned from his party position.
★He also dismissed speculations that Nitish Kumar has softened his stance towards the NDA, led by BJP.
हाइलाइट्सबिहार विधानसभा अध्यक्ष अवध बिहारी चौधरी ने राजद मुखिया लालू प्रसाद से मुलाकात की। यह मुलाकात नीतीश कुमार के जद (यू) के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष का कार्यभार संभालने के बाद हुई। इसके अलावा चौधरी ने संवाददाताओं से कहा कि इस मुलाकात में कोई राजनीतिक मायने नहीं थे। इस घटना के बाद लगे अटकलों को दूर करने के उद्देश्य से नीतीश और लालू शुक्रवार की रात दिल्ली से लौटे, जहां जद (यू) कार्यकर्ताओं ने उनका स्वागत किया। इसके अलावा ललन ने अपने लोकसभा क्षेत्र में एक सभा में कहा कि नीतीश और लालू के बीच कोई अविश्वास नहीं है और महागठबंधन भाजपा को चुनाव में शिकस्त देने जा रहा है।
