Hotel Manager Arrested for Human Trafficking in Gopalganj
The NIA has arrested hotel manager Pranad Singh in Gopalganj on charges of human trafficking. It is alleged that he was selling people fake visas from Cambodia to Pakistan through agents by luring them with job offers in foreign countries. Based on confidential information, the NIA conducted a raid in Gopalganj on Monday midnight and arrested the accused. The NIA team is currently interrogating him and has also conducted raids at his hotel and residence.
Bobby Kataria Arrested from Gurugram
In a major breakthrough in a human trafficking case, NIA has arrested Bobby Kataria from Gurugram along with other suspects from different states. Based on leads, the team arrested YouTuber Bobby Kataria from Gurugram, Nabi Alam from Delhi, Manish Hindu from Vadodara, and Sarat Singh from Chandigarh. Several pieces of evidence were found against Pranad Singh from Gopalganj, leading to his arrest on Monday night. The team is further investigating the case.
Fears of a Major International Cyber Scam
A complainant has informed the police about a possible major international cyber scam involving around 150 Indian nationals being trafficked to China by a Chinese company. Most of these victims, including women, were allegedly lured into human trafficking by brokers like Bobby Kataria who offered fake job opportunities. The investigation revealed that the victims were being pressured into illegal activities like credit card fraud and honey traps in fake call centers in Laos, the Golden Triangle, and Cambodia.

The NIA investigation uncovered that youths were being sent abroad with job offers that turned out to be fake. They were pressured into illegal activities in fake call centers in Laos, the Golden Triangle, and Cambodia. It is alleged that these individuals were selling job offers to youths through agents in Pakistan after luring them with false promises, leading to their exploitation.
