Illegal Encroachment on University Land
The land of Tilakamanjhi Bhagalpur University is under the scrutiny of land mafias. The university’s land, lying empty in front of the boundary wall of TNB College, has been encroached upon by unauthorized people and several institutions have put up bamboo sticks and boards around it.
Investigation Ordered by Chancellor
Chancellor Prof. Jawahar Lal has ordered the Registrar, CCDC, and Public Relations Officer to conduct an inspection of the university land. However, during the inspection, the Registrar remained seated in the car and refused to go to the site despite repeated requests. CCDC and PRO then took video footage of the site and informed the Chancellor about the situation.
Formation of Investigation Committee
The Chancellor instructed the formation of a three-member investigation committee, which includes the Secretary, Proctor, and University Engineer. The committee has been tasked with investigating the matter within 48 hours and identifying the guilty individuals and institutions to file an FIR at the university police station.
No Tolerance for Encroachment
The university has made it clear that there will be no tolerance for any kind of negligence or carelessness in cases of encroachment on university land. The issue of encroachment is not limited to Tilakamanjhi Bhagalpur University, as similar incidents have been reported on the land of TNB College and other institutions in the area.
