Police bust liquor smuggling racket in poultry farm in Katihar

In a recent operation based on a tip-off, the police in Katihar have uncovered a case of liquor smuggling being carried out in the guise of a poultry farm. The police seized 70 cartons of foreign liquor from a hidden warehouse inside the farm. DSP Abhijeet Kumar revealed that the accused, who was arrested from Ghoda Bari in the rural police station area, is currently in custody.

Discovery of hidden liquor stash

During the investigation, despite extensive searching, nothing was found until a police officer noticed a cot underneath which a makeshift enclosure was found made of bricks. Upon further inspection, a large quantity of liquor was discovered in the hidden warehouse. Five individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the case, and further interrogation will follow.
