To curb illegal mining and sale of sand in Bihar, the Bihar government has stopped issuing e-challans for 109 sand ghats. The Control and Command Center for Mining and Geology Department started operating on Thursday. However, live CCTV footage of the 109 sand ghats was not available on the first day. Therefore, e-challans for those sand ghats have been immediately stopped.

बिहार सरकार ने बालू के अवैध खनन और बिक्री पर रोक लगाने के लिए 109 बालू घाटों का ई-चालान बंद कर दिया है। गुरुवार से खान एवं भूतत्व विभाग में कंट्रोल एंड कमांड सेंटर सेंटर शुरू हुआ है और पहले दिन ही 109 बालू घाटों का सीसीटीवी फुटेज लाइव नहीं पाया गया, जिसके कारण ई-चालान तत्काल प्रभाव से बंद कर दिया गया है।
