Three people have been arrested in connection with the case. The police are questioning all the suspects. It was reported that the Sadar police station received confidential information that an illegal timber-laden pickup van from the Kolabira forest area was heading towards Simdega. Subsequently, the police stationed themselves at various locations and spotted a yellow-colored pickup van covered with plastic. When the suspect tried to flee, the police caught him after a chase. The pickup van was loaded with thick wooden logs, which were attempted to be concealed with plastic covering. Three individuals seated inside the pickup van were apprehended by the police. The police are interrogating them regarding the confiscated timber, which is valued at around 1.5 million rupees. It was revealed that the said timber was being transported to Timber Chowk in Simdega. The station in-charge, Inspector Jaygovind Gupta, stated that the police are questioning three individuals, including the driver of the vehicle, Arif, who resides on Simdega College Road.
सिमडेगा में पुलिस ने अवैध लकड़ी लदी पिकअप वैन को पकड़ा है। वैन को पास के प्रिंस चौक से पकड़ा गया है और इसमें तीन लोग हिरासत में लिए गए हैं। पुलिस द्वारा सभी आरोपियों की पूछताछ की जा रही है। पुलिस को गुप्त सूचना मिली थी कि कोलेबिरा जंगल से अवैध रूप से लकड़ी लगी हुई एक पिकअप वैन सिमडेगा की तरफ जा रही है। पुलिस ने वैन को पकड़ा और वहां बैठे हुए तीन लोगों को भी हिरासत में लिया है। इनके पास बड़े-बड़े बोटे लदे हुए हैं, जिन्हें प्लास्टिक से ढंक कर छुपाने की कोशिश की गई है। पुलिस इन लोगों से पूछताछ कर रही है और जब्त लकड़ी की कीमत 1.5 लाख रुपए आंकी गई है। इस मामले में आरिफ सहित तीन लोगों की हिरासत ली गई है।
