Heatwave in Bihar

Bihar residents may have to wait for two more days for the monsoon. Clouds are expected to appear in the sky in Bihar from June 19, with the possibility of monsoon entering the state. Meanwhile, there are chances of rain in several districts in the state from June 20. The entire Bihar has been reeling under intense heat waves for several days, causing distress not only to the common people but also to animals, birds, plants, and trees. The cracks in the fields are increasing in this weather of scorching heat, as the time limit for farming is only a week away. If the monsoon does not enter Bihar in such a situation, farmers may face difficulties in saving their seeds and may fall behind in farming activities.

High Temperatures in Different Districts

According to the weather analysis, the maximum temperatures in districts like Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, and Arwal in the southwestern part of Bihar are expected to range from 42 to 44 degrees Celsius. Similarly, in the central-southern part, districts like Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Navada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, and Jehanabad may witness temperatures ranging from 42 to 44 degrees Celsius. Some areas in the southwestern part of the state, as well as in Gaya, Jehanabad, and Navada, have been issued a red alert for the scorching heat, while a yellow alert has been issued for places like Patna, Nalanda, and Jamui.

Hottest Day in Buxar

The temperature in various districts of Bihar has been recorded above 40 degrees Celsius. The highest temperatures were recorded in Buxar at 46.4 degrees, Bhojpur at 45.6 degrees, and Arwal at 45.7 degrees. Some districts like Bhagalpur, Purnia, Balimiki Nagar, and others recorded temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius. Medium rainfall is expected in some areas in the next 24 hours.

Possible Showers in Some Areas

Over the past 24 hours, there has been moderate rainfall in some parts of northeastern Bihar along with thunderstorms. Light rainfall occurred in one or two places in the southeastern and southwestern parts of the state, while the rest remained dry. The dry areas of the state saw temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in many places. The weather forecast indicates that there may be moderate rainfall in the northeastern part of the state. Meanwhile, districts like Buxar, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Patna, Gaya, Chapra, Sheikhpura, Navada, Nalanda, Arwal, and Bhojpur are under the influence of heat waves. No significant change in temperature is expected in the next 48 hours, but a decrease of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius may occur later. The monsoon is expected to enter Bihar from the northeastern region after 5 to 6 days, gradually affecting the state.
