Imtiyaz Ahmad Kareemi appointed as BPSC Chairman
Imtiyaz Ahmad Kareemi has been appointed as the chairman of the Bihar Public Service Commission by the Bihar government. His appointment is temporary and a notification has been issued by the General Administration Department regarding this. He will retire on 26th February. After his retirement, Professor Deepti Kumari, who is a member of the Bihar Public Service Commission, could be appointed as the chairman. It is worth mentioning that on 12th February, senior IAS officer Atul Prasad retired, leaving the chairman position vacant.
PM Modi to inaugurate IIM Bodh Gaya campus
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the campus of IIM Bodh Gaya, spread over 73 acres in Bodh Gaya, virtually on Tuesday. Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samaarat Chaudhary and several other leaders will be present on this occasion. According to the IIM’s PR cell, the virtual inauguration of the new campus of IIM will be done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 20th February. Established under the Ministry of Education in 2015, IIM Bodh Gaya has developed from its inaugural batch of 30 students to enrollment of over 1,110 students from 293 cities and 26 states. The institution is committed to academic excellence and inclusive education, with over 31.7% female students in the student group.
Tejashwi Yadav’s Jan Vishwas Yatra during Bihar Assembly session
Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav’s Jan Vishwas Yatra during the Bihar Assembly session has created a political stir. Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on CM Nitish Kumar during a live session on social media. He said, “In the 17-month government, we have only utilized 10% of our capabilities. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has no vision for work. He is stuck in old thoughts. He is not capable of running Bihar. Therefore, he has no right to stay in the position of Chief Minister. Meanwhile, the ruling party claims that instead of discussing the budget, Tejashwi is roaming in his area. In terms of Bihar’s weather, there are chances of rain on 21st and 22nd February in the state. Today, the weather will remain normal in many areas including Patna.”
