Income tax raids are currently underway in Patna. The team from the Income Tax Department has conducted searches at the addresses of Avinash Kumar Singh, the owner of Urmila Infotech. Simultaneous raids were conducted at his residence in Khajpura and his office in Patliputra Colony’s Technology Park. This sudden raid has created a sensation in Patna.

Radhacharan Seth, a Janata Dal United (JDU) leader, is also facing a major action by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Properties worth 26.19 crore rupees have been seized from Seth, who is allegedly involved in tax evasion. Urmila Infotech, owned by Avinash Kumar Singh, is a company that provides data entry services through Beltron. It has offices in Delhi as well. Several locations of this company have been raided simultaneously, indicating a possible case of tax theft.

The raids in Bihar have come amidst a spate of actions by investigative agencies in the state. On Tuesday, the ED temporarily confiscated two immovable properties worth 26.19 crore rupees, which were acquired by Radhacharan Seth. The action was taken in connection with a money laundering case against M/s Broadson Commodities Private Limited. Meanwhile, the recent raid against Avinash Kumar Singh, the owner of Urmila Infotech, has caused a stir in Patna. Limited information is also coming in from Bhagalpur, where an income tax raid reportedly took place on Thursday.
