Increased Operation of Summer Special Trains

During the summer vacation, there has been a continuous increase in the operation of Summer Special trains due to the increasing crowd of rail passengers on various routes. One such train is the 06221/06222 Superfast Summer Special running between Muzaffarpur and Mysore via Begusarai-Barauni route. The train will now operate on additional dates to cater to the rising demand of passengers.

Extended Schedule

The 06221 train will depart from Mysore on Mondays, 10th June, 17th June, and 24th June, reaching Muzaffarpur on Wednesdays. The return journey of train number 06222 will depart from Muzaffarpur on Thursdays, 13th June, 20th June, and 27th June, reaching Mysore via Barauni and Begusarai on Saturdays. This decision was taken in view of the increasing passenger crowd during the summer holidays.

Timings and Stops

Train number 06222 will depart from Muzaffarpur on Thursdays at 1:00 PM, reaching Samastipur at 1:50 PM, making a brief stop. It will then proceed to Barauni, making a 10-minute stop, before reaching Begusarai, Khagaria, Navgachia, and finally Katihar. The train will depart from Katihar at 7:55 PM and reach Mysore on Saturdays at 4:40 PM.

Convenient Travel for Passengers

The 06221 train will depart from Mysore on Mondays at 10:30 AM and reach Katihar at 8:40 AM, Navgachia at 9:18 AM, Khagaria at 10:23 AM, and finally Begusarai at 10:43 AM on Saturdays. This extended schedule will provide relief to passengers traveling from Northern Bihar to various destinations like Malda Town, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada, and Mysore.
