Earlier, the robbers would snatch bags filled with money from bike riders. Now they are using blades to steal money. On December 12, a similar incident occurred in the city, where thieves used blades to steal 80,000 rupees from one victim and 50,000 rupees from another victim. The victims have filed a complaint against the unknown thieves at the Nagarn Thana police station, and the police are investigating the matter.
Robbery at the SBI Bank in Dudhani: Shiv Prasad Pandit, a resident of Bhagalpur Road, went to the SBI main branch to withdraw money on December 12. He had withdrawn 80,000 rupees and was riding a toto, a three-wheeler, to go home. As soon as he sat in the toto, four boys sat next to him. When they reached Yagnya Maidan, all four got off. Upon reaching home, he realized that his bag had been cut open from both sides with a blade and the money had been stolen. Another incident occurred at the SBI branch in Dudhani, where Mukesh Kapri, a resident of Kaaptara, went to deposit 1,30,000 rupees with his wife. While his wife was filling out the form, the thieves used a blade to steal 50,000 rupees from their bag. The remaining money was not stolen.
