This article talks about recent drowning incidents in Bihar due to rising river water levels after heavy rain.

Recently, Bihar has seen a change in weather with heavy rains causing rivers to swell. This rise in water level has unfortunately led to several tragic drowning incidents. The latest victim was Harendra Mahato, who drowned while taking a holy dip at the Sabalpur Vishnu Temple Ganga Ghat.

Harendra, a resident of Gulmahiyachak, went to the river for his usual morning bath. However, he misjudged the depth of the Ganges and was swept away by the strong current. Eyewitnesses say he often visited the river every morning, making this incident even more shocking.

When people at the ghat realized what had happened, they quickly informed the river police. The police arrived promptly and began an investigation. Currently, a search operation is underway, assisted by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and local divers to find Harendra’s body.

Sadly, this isn’t the only drowning incident recently. In Didarganj’s Mahmadpur area, two children also lost their lives due to drowning in floodwaters. The local community is feeling anxious and fearful as these incidents continue to occur.

The situation has deeply affected the families of the victims, who are grieving their loss. Local authorities are focused on the ongoing search operations, hoping to recover the bodies and bring some closure to the affected families.
