The Indian Army has released a recruitment notification for Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) for religious teachers such as Pujari, Maulvi, Pandit, Buddhist Monks, and Granthi. The last date to apply online is March 22. Religious teachers in the Army are given the rank of Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO).
Selection Process for Religious Teacher JCO Recruitment 2024
The recruitment process for religious teachers in the Indian Army will have three phases. Phase 1 will consist of an online computer-based test. Those who pass Phase 1 will move on to Phase 2, which includes participation in recruitment rallies with physical and medical tests. The final phase will involve an interview. A minimum of 40% marks is required to pass the written exam.
Eligibility Criteria for Religious Teacher Recruitment
Candidates applying for the position of religious teacher in the Indian Army must meet certain educational qualifications based on their religious background. For example, Pandits and Pandits (Gorkha) must have a degree in Shastri or Acharya in Sanskrit from a recognized university. Similarly, Maulvis must be graduates in any discipline and have a degree in Arabic. Other religious teachers have specific educational requirements as well.
