Introduction
In Kishanganj, the branch of Indian Railways, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (a Mini Ratna under the Government of India) is set to launch the “Bharat Gaurav” train for the first time from Kolkata. The Bharat Gaurav train scheme aims to provide approximately 33% discount to promote rail tourism by Indian Railways.
Travel Itinerary
The tourist train will halt at New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Barharwa-Sahibganj-Kahalgaon-Bhagalpur-Jamalpur-Kiul-Patna stations for pilgrims to embark. The train will take pilgrims to various pilgrimage sites such as Mata Vaishno Devi, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Mathura, Vrindavan, and Ayodhya, returning on 2nd July.
Travel Packages
The economy class fare for this journey is Rs. 17,900 per person, while the comfort class fare is Rs. 29,500 per person. Due to high demand from travelers wanting to enjoy the summer holidays, Indian Railways has added a 3AC coach to the Bharat Gaurav train. IRCTC has introduced a comfort category package priced at Rs. 29,500 per person, including a 3AC coach, bus, and hotel accommodations.
