Pappu Yadav inspects RWD and PWD offices in Purnia
Recently elected MP Pappu Yadav from Purnia conducted a surprise inspection of the RWD and PWD offices on Friday. He expressed dissatisfaction over the mismanagement in the government offices and directed the officials to improve the system as soon as possible. He first visited the rural works department office located on Kheeru Chowk Badi Haat Road.
Assessment of ongoing projects and directives to officials
During the inspection, the executive engineer of the rural works department was found absent from the office. Pappu Yadav reviewed the projects underway in Purnia and provided necessary guidance to the present officials and employees. He assured that corruption will be eradicated within three months.
Inspection of PWD office and action against irregularities
Pappu Yadav then proceeded to inspect the Public Works Department office on Indira Gandhi Stadium Road. The executive engineer of the PWD was not present initially but arrived shortly after Yadav’s visit. He evaluated the departmental work and issued essential directives to the officials. He also mentioned that strict action will be taken against those involved in irregularities.
Discussion with toll plaza owner and future actions
Furthermore, discussions were held with the toll plaza owner regarding the toll collection from Katihar to Purnia. Toll charges of 134 rupees are currently being levied for the route. Yadav emphasized that toll collection will continue until the completion of the road from Malda to Manihari, as the toll plaza owner is incurring losses of over 50 lakhs.
