In the town of Siwan, the Intermediate examinations are currently taking place in 41 centers. The exams are being conducted in two shifts, with 34 centers in the Siwan district and 7 centers in the Maharajganj district. A total of 46,171 candidates are participating in the exams, which are being held amidst tight security arrangements.
In Bhagalpur, during the Intermediate exams, colleges will conduct online classes. Several colleges in Bhagalpur have been designated as examination centers for the Intermediate exams. Due to the long duration of both exams, the order to conduct classes online has been given by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Jawaharlal, to ensure that the study process is not affected.
The tenure of the Director of PMCH, Dr. IS Thakur, has been extended for another year. He will now hold the position until January 31, 2025. Originally, Dr. Thakur was set to retire on January 31, 2024. However, due to his excellent work, the Health Department has extended his tenure for one more year.
In Bhagalpur, the Intermediate exams are being conducted in 50 centers. Candidates have started gathering at the centers from 8 am for the first shift of the exams. The picture outside the Christ Church Girls School in the district shows candidates arriving, while school employees are stationed at the gate.
In Motihari, there was a collision between two trucks, resulting in the death of one driver. The incident occurred near the Ramapur Khajuria overbridge on National Highway 27 due to fog. The other driver was trapped in his truck and sustained injuries. The deceased driver has been identified as Laxman Das, a resident of Bajpatti in Sitamarhi district. The injured include the driver of the other truck, Lavkush, and Ashish Chauhan, the driver of the trapped truck, who is said to be the son of Ramnaresh from the Deva Police Station in Barabanki district, Uttar Pradesh.
The Bihar Board Intermediate exams are starting today, with approximately 13 lakh candidates appearing for the exams across the state. The first shift of the exams will begin at 9:30 am. Candidates have started arriving at their respective centers.
