Summary:
An 11-day international Tripitaka Vishwa Shanti Pooja was organized at the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, Gaya. The program was inaugurated by the Governor of Bihar, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, with the welcome ceremony conducted by the District Magistrate of Gaya, Dr. Tyagarajan SM. After performing the puja and archana in the Garbhagriha of the Mahabodhi Temple, the Governor and other guests inaugurated the program under the Bodhi tree. Buddhist monks from various countries chanted mantras according to their traditions. The Tripitaka chanting will continue from December 3 to December 12.
A peace march was conducted by Buddhist gurus and devotees from approximately 10 countries. An 80-foot Buddha statue was taken on a pad yatra (foot procession) from the statue site to the Kalachakra Maidan, where the pad yatra concluded. Buddhist devotees from different countries placed the Tripitaka scriptures on their heads and will recite sutras in their respective languages, seeking refuge in Lord Buddha. Indian Buddhist monks also carried a long Panchsheel flag. The 11-day Tripitaka chanting event will be attended by monks and devotees from Cambodia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the US, and Vietnam, as well as members of the International Buddhist Council.
In his address, the Governor, representing the land of knowledge, peace, and tranquility, Bodh Gaya, emphasized that Bodh Gaya is a land of knowledge, peace, and tranquility. If people follow the teachings given by Lord Buddha, they can attain inner peace. Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. Today, Buddhism is the fastest-growing religion in the world. The Royal Ambassador of Cambodia expressed gratitude to the Governor, presenting him with a souvenir and memento.
गया के बोधगया स्थित महाबोधि मंदिर में 11 दिन तक चलने वाले अंतर्राष्ट्रीय त्रिपिटक विश्व शांति पूजा का आयोजन किया गया है। इस मंदिर में बिहार के राज्यपाल राजेंद्र विश्वनाथ अर्लेकर ने इस कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन किया है। इसके साथ ही, विभिन्न देशों से आए बौद्ध धर्म गुरु और श्रद्धालुओं ने भी इस पूजा में हिस्सा लिया है। इस पूजा के माध्यम से ज्ञान, शांति, अमन का पैगाम दिया जा रहा है। यह पूजा 3 दिसंबर से 12 दिसंबर तक चलेगी।
