New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and his father and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad for questioning in connection with the investigation into land money laundering cases in the railway. The information was given by official sources on Wednesday. Tejashwi (34) has been asked to appear before the federal agency’s Delhi office on December 22, while Lalu Prasad (75) has been asked to present himself to file his statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) on December 27. In this case, the ED has already questioned Tejashwi Yadav for about eight hours on April 11, but this is the first time he has been summoned to include Lalu Prasad in the investigation.
Who is Amit Katyal? The investigation agency ED had arrested an accused named Amit Katyal on November 11. According to agency sources, the accused has close ties with Bihar’s former Chief Minister and Central Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son Tejashwi Yadav, who is currently the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar.
