In Bettiah, there have been serious issues with the road construction work happening in ward number 14. This work was carried out at night, from Bettiah Nagar Bhawan to the Indoor Stadium, and it started falling apart just the next day.
Residents shared their complaints with the ward councilor, Rinki Gupta. She informed higher officials about the situation and mentioned that she was unaware of this work until the locals brought it to her attention. Upon inspection, she found the quality of the work to be extremely poor.
People in the area are upset about this shoddy construction. They have expressed their anger, especially since this work is being done under the supervision of a Junior Engineer, Sujay Suman, with connections to the Mayor’s office. It’s surprising that the Mayor, who lives very close, did not notice the ongoing issues.
When questioned, the JE explained that the materials used were too hot when they arrived and that this caused problems with the road’s surface. He assured that the damaged sections would be redone.
The local community is hopeful that the municipal authorities will take swift action to address these issues. Residents are staying alert and want to see improvements in the quality of work being done in their area.
