EOU Team to Investigate NEET Paper Leak
An EOU team from Patna will travel to Delhi today to investigate the case of the NEET paper leak. Two members of the team will visit the NTA headquarters in Delhi to gather information. The team will retrieve the original question paper from the NTA headquarters in Delhi and compare it with the burnt question paper remnants found in Patna. Additionally, the EOU team will question 9 students in Patna today.
Severe Heatwave Claims Lives in Bihar
Bihar is reeling under a severe heatwave, with daily life disrupted due to the scorching temperatures. The heatwave has already claimed the lives of 45 people in the state, with the worst impact seen in Aurangabad where 5 people have died. The scorching heat has led to red alerts being issued in 9 districts, orange alerts in 8 districts, and yellow alerts in the remaining districts of Bihar. Relief is not expected soon, as the heatwave continues to pose a threat.
Monsoon Expected to Bring Relief
The Meteorological Department has issued red and orange alerts for the next two days in several districts of Bihar due to the heatwave. However, light to moderate rainfall is expected in the northern, north-central, northeast, and southeast districts of the state in the next two days. The monsoon is expected to arrive in Bihar by June 20-21, bringing some relief from the scorching heat. In other news, preparations are in full swing in Bihar for the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be visiting the state for the first time since his re-election.
