Investors Summit in Patna, the capital of Bihar, witnessed an announcement by Pranav Adani, the director of Adani Enterprises. He stated that the company plans to increase its investment in various sectors, including cement manufacturing, logistics, and agriculture, in the state up to 10 times. Adani Group’s plan to invest ₹8,700 crores in Bihar has been appreciated by the Bihar government, which is encouraging more investment in the state. However, this has sparked a political controversy between the BJP and RJD.
RJD has expressed its support and defense of Adani Group’s investment in Bihar. They claim that the party is not against any group’s investment in any state, but they oppose the BJP-led central government’s complete support for the Adani Group. The opposition’s role is to raise questions if the government is protecting any industrialist for their wrongdoings or providing assistance in an improper manner. The opposition does not oppose any investment by industrial groups in any state.
On the other hand, Giriraj Singh, BJP MP and Union Minister, criticized Rahul Gandhi and the Mahagathbandhan for their double standards regarding Adani Group’s investment in Bihar. He pointed out that they remained silent when Adani and Bajaj were investing in Rajasthan but now they cannot raise their voice when investment is happening in Bihar. They have nothing to say except bringing new tools to defame Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Similarly, Nitin Navin, BJP MLA and former minister, responded to those opposing Adani Group’s investment by suggesting that they should reconsider their stance. He stated that when these companies invest in the country, it creates employment opportunities. However, Nitish Kumar’s government should think about the poor state of law and order in Bihar, which is causing industrialists to leave. Nitish Kumar is only showcasing the Investor Meet without any substantial results.
Pranav Adani mentioned that they are aligned with Bihar’s development vision. Adani Group aims to increase its investment tenfold, which would benefit ten thousand people with employment opportunities. They plan to build a warehouse in Patna and construct a warehouse in 150 acres. Additionally, they plan to invest ₹200 crores in Gaya and Nalanda for the City Gas project. Furthermore, several EV charging stations will also be established in various locations in Bihar.
