JDU’s Steps Increase Restlessness in India Alliance
Discussion Between CM Nitish Kumar and Uddhav Thackeray
The announcement of the Patna Lok Sabha elections is just around the corner, but there has been no concrete decision on seat sharing in the India Alliance. Meanwhile, some steps taken by JDU have increased the restlessness within the India Alliance. After clarifying the status of their three candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, JDU has further intensified the doubt by fielding Ruhi Tangung from Arunachal West in Arunachal Pradesh. In the midst of this, there was a conversation between CM Nitish Kumar and Uddhav Thackeray, which has led to some more indications.
It should be noted that Sanjay Raut had said that efforts are being made to communicate with other opposition parties in the India Alliance, apart from the Congress. Congress is currently entangled in many things and their justice journey is about to begin. Their other meetings are also ongoing. Without putting too much burden on them, it is the responsibility of everyone in the India Alliance to become the organizer of this alliance. In this context, a conversation took place between Uddhav and Nitish Kumar yesterday.
It should be noted that on Wednesday, JDU President and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced the party’s first candidate and fielded him from Arunachal Pradesh. Nitish Kumar has given a ticket to Ruhi Tangung from the Arunachal West seat, which is currently held by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju. He defeated Congress’ Nabam Tuki in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
However, it should also be noted that the BJP is currently in power in Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from JDU, Congress also holds a significant position there. In such a situation, Nitish Kumar’s move can be seen as against the BJP, but it is certain that Nitish Kumar’s announcement has brought the internal conflicts within the India Alliance to the surface.
It is worth mentioning that the four meetings of the opposition parties in the India Alliance have already been held in Patna, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi, but no concrete decision has been made on the seat sharing formula. In the meantime, after clarifying the situation of the Sitamarhi, Munger, and Darbhanga seats in Bihar, Nitish has announced the first candidate from outside Bihar for JDU.
Political experts suggest that in the situation of being stuck in seat sharing, Nitish Kumar can also consider an alternative on a third front separate from the India Alliance. It was under this strategy that Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray also had a conversation with CM Nitish Kumar on Wednesday. This fact has also been confirmed by Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.
पटना में लोकसभा चुनाव की घोषणा होने में कुछ ही समय बचा है और इंडिया अलायंस में सीट शेयरिंग के मुद्दे पर कोई ठोस समझौता नहीं हुआ है। इस दौरान जदयू के कुछ कदमों ने इंडिया गठबंधन की बेचैनी को बढ़ा दिया है। जेडीयू ने अपने तीन उम्मीदवारों की स्थिति साफ करने के बाद अरुणाचल प्रदेश में अरुणाचल वेस्ट से रूही टांगुंग को लोकसभा उम्मीदवार उतारा है। इसी बीच सीएम नीतीश कुमार और उद्धव ठाकरे के बीच बातचीत हुई है। इंडिया गठबंधन में कांग्रेस के सिवाय अन्य विपक्षी दलों के साथ संवाद की कोशिश हो रही है। नीतीश कुमार की इस घोषणा से इंडिया गठबंधन के भीतर की खींचतान जरूर सतह पर आई है। सीट शेयरिंग के मुद्दे पर अभी तक कोई ठोस समझौता नहीं हुआ है और नीतीश कुमार इंडिया गठबंधन से अलग किसी तीसरे मोर्चे का विकल्प भी चिंतन कर सकते हैं।
