In the search for Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted several raids but did not find him. A top government official said that an unprecedented situation has arisen in the state. The whereabouts of the Chief Minister are unknown. In the current situation, directions have been issued to monitor the law and order situation in any event.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan said that as the protector of the constitution, he is keeping an eye on the state’s situation in view of the ED summons to Chief Minister Hemant Soren. This is the duty of the Governor. If necessary, I will cross the border. He dismissed the possibilities of imposing President’s rule in the state and said that these are just speculations. He told Hemant Soren in response to the ED summons that no one is above the law. If the Chief Minister is not giving a response today, he will have to give it tomorrow. In the meantime, Soren has emailed the investigation agency to come for questioning at the CM’s residence in Ranchi on January 31 at 1 pm.

In a letter to the ED on Sunday, Soren alleged that the investigation agency is politically motivated to hinder the functioning of the state government. He claimed that it is malicious to re-record his statement on January 31 or earlier. Summoning him is causing unnecessary harassment and misuse of the powers given by the law.

Without revealing their identity, Hemant’s family members said that not being at home does not mean running away. It is not a warrant that they have to be available. They are in Delhi and will soon reach Ranchi. Their health is fine and they were busy with their work in Delhi.

Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi claimed that Hemant Soren, afraid of the ED, has fled from his residence in Delhi and gone underground. He wrote on social media that according to media sources, on Sunday night, CM Soren left his residence wearing slippers, covering his face with a shawl, and ran away on foot like a thief. The security guard of the special branch who went to Delhi with them, Ajay Singh, is also missing.
