According to the data from the labor portal, a total of 167,692 registered workers are currently working in other states. Giridih district has the highest number of migrant workers, with 19,103 workers registered as migrants. However, the labor department acknowledges that there are many more workers working in other states whose information they do not have. Other districts with a high number of migrant workers include Dumka, Gumla, Sahibganj, Pakur, and Giridih. On the other hand, districts like Jamtara, Khunti, Lohardaga, and Kharsawan have the lowest number of migrant workers.
