Jharkhand Police Arrests 397 Maoists in 2020
This year, Jharkhand Police has arrested 397 Maoists. During these operations, 9 Maoists were killed and 26 surrendered in front of security forces. The arrested Maoists include a special area committee member, a regional committee member, five regional commanders, and 11 sub-zonal commanders, all of whom had a reward of INR 1.01 crore on them.
Police Seize Weapons and Arrest Criminals
In the past 12 months, the police have seized 152 firearms, 10,350 rounds of ammunition, and 24 improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Out of these, 27 firearms belonged to the police and were looted by the Maoists. Additionally, the police arrested 248 criminals involved in organized crimes. During these operations, 129 firearms and 1,677 cartridges were recovered.
Arrests of Naxalites and Surrenders
In the past four years, a total of 1,617 Naxalites belonging to banned organizations such as the Communist Party of India (Maoist), People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI), Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC), and Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) have been arrested. Since January 2020, 74 Maoists have surrendered, and 792 firearms, 1,882 IEDs, and 1882 detonators have been seized.
Encounters and Seizure of Money
During encounters with security forces, 40 Naxalites were killed, and INR 1.6081 crore in levy was recovered from the Maoists. From January to the present, 1,172 cybercrime cases have been registered, leading to the arrest of 834 individuals. Additionally, during police campaigns, 1,417 mobile phones, 2,328 SIM cards, 470 ATM cards, 128 passbooks, 23 laptops, 37 checkbooks, INR 54.31 lakh in cash, and 3,300 Taiwanese dollars were seized.
झारखंड पुलिस ने इस साल 397 माओवादियों को गिरफ्तार किया है और नौ माओवादी मारे गए हैं। इसके साथ ही, पुलिस ने 152 हथियार, 10350 गोला बारूद और 24 देशी बम भी जब्त किए हैं। झारखंड पुलिस ने पिछले चार सालों में 1617 नक्सली और इस साल सिलसिले में 834 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। कुल मिलाकर, पुलिस द्वारा इस साल बहुत सारी अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है और कई अपराधों के सामग्री भी जब्त की गई है।
