Jharkhand is currently experiencing cold weather and relief is not expected for the next two days, according to meteorologists. Fog and mist are expected to persist in the mornings throughout the state, with dense fog alerts issued in some parts of the northern regions. After the fog clears, clouds will reappear in the state.

On January 10, light rain is expected in the western parts of the state, particularly in Palamau, Chatra, Garhwa, and Latehar. The rain will be of mild intensity. During the next two days, the weather will remain clear after the fog and mist dissipate in the mornings.

On the other hand, on Sunday, fog and mist were observed in several districts, including Ranchi. There was a brief period of sunlight in Ranchi. The maximum temperature in Ranchi on Sunday was 21.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 12.9 degrees Celsius. Due to the presence of clouds, the maximum temperature in the state was about two degrees higher than normal, while the minimum temperature was about seven degrees higher. This is why it feels colder during the day, while fog has increased in the mornings. Meteorologists predict that the weather will continue to change due to the western disturbance. The weather will change again on January 10 due to the disturbance.

The weather will continue to fluctuate in Jharkhand until Makar Sankranti due to the western disturbance. According to the department, there will be no change in the minimum temperature in the state during the next two days. However, after two days, it may increase by two to three degrees.

In the major districts of the state, the temperatures (in degrees) recorded were as follows:
