Begusarai Husband-Wife Dispute

A case similar to that of Jyoti Maurya in UP has emerged in Bihar once again. In Begusarai district of Bihar, a wife has refused to live with her husband after getting a government job. It is being reported that Roshni Kumari, who has started her service as a constable in the Bihar Police, has decided to separate from her laborer husband.

Background of the Dispute

The entire incident is related to the Darga Panchayat area of Bakhtari Thana in Begusarai district, where Vijay Kumar married Roshni Kumari in 2013. Vijay Kumar works as a laborer, while Roshni Kumari had a desire for education. In order to fulfill his wife’s wish, Vijay Kumar worked hard and supported her education. After Roshni Kumari cleared the Bihar Police exam and joined as a constable, she refused to live with her husband.

Pressure from In-laws and Future Steps

Roshni Kumari’s family members are now pressuring Vijay Kumar and his family to return the marriage expenses incurred during the wedding. Vijay Kumar and his family consider Roshni Kumari as a part of their family and are willing to keep her. There is pressure from Roshni Kumari’s in-laws to force her to divorce, but the situation remains tense as the villagers have come together in support of Vijay Kumar’s family.
