The hearing of the job scam case in exchange for land is scheduled to take place today at the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi. The previous hearing was held on November 2nd, where the accused party had requested for more time to scrutinize the charges. The court had set the date for the next hearing on November 29th. Prior to this, on November 2nd, all the accused, including Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, had submitted their passports to the court. In today’s hearing, the accused party may appeal for the return of their passports. They may also respond to the chargesheet filed against them.
Background
In the job scam case involving land exchange, the CBI had filed a chargesheet. It accused 17 people, including Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal. On October 16th, the court had granted relief to the Lalu family in the case. They were exempted from personal appearance in every hearing. The court had also allowed Tejashwi Yadav to travel abroad on official duties. Additionally, Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi Yadav were granted bail on a personal bond of Rs. 50,000.
Know about the Job Scam
Another allegation of corruption is also made against Vijay Singla, the nephew of former Railway Minister Pawan Bansal, in the Rail Recruitment Scam in the UP government. The CBI has registered an FIR against Vijay Singla and 10 others in this case. Vijay Singla is also accused of money laundering in this case.
During the period from 2004 to 2009, Lalu Prasad Yadav served as the Railway Minister in the UP government. It is alleged that a scam took place in railway recruitment during Lalu’s tenure as the minister. It is said that land and plots were taken from applicants in exchange for providing them with jobs.
After conducting an investigation, the CBI filed a case against Lalu Prasad Yadav and his daughter Misa Bharti in this matter. It is alleged that the lands that were taken were also registered in the names of Rabri Devi and Misa Bharti.
लालू परिवार के बीच जमीन के बदले नौकरी घोटाला केस में आज दिल्ली के राउज एवेन्यू कोर्ट में सुनवाई होने वाली है। चार्जशीट दायर करने के बाद लालू परिवार को राहत मिली थी और उन्हें पेशी से छूट दी गई थी। इसमें राष्ट्रीय जनता दल के सुप्रीमो लालू प्रसाद यादव, पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री राबड़ी देवी और उपमुख्यमंत्री तेजस्वी यादव समेत 17 लोगों को आरोपी बनाया गया था। सीबीआई ने इस मामले में जांच के बाद लालू प्रसाद यादव और उनकी बेटी मीसा भारती के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है। यहां तक कि जो जमीनें ली गईं, वो राबड़ी देवी और मीसा भारती के नाम पर भी ली गईं।
