Land Dispute Leads to Violent Clash in Buxar
In a village in Siktaunha, Buxar, a land dispute escalated into a violent clash between two parties. Six people from one party were injured in the altercation, including two women. The injured were rushed to the Itahari police station where they were sent to the Sadar hospital for treatment. The dispute revolves around 12 bighas of land between Dharmendra Paswan and Nandu Chaudhary.
Testimony of the Injured
Dharmendra Paswan, one of the injured, claimed that the disputed land belonged to his family, while Nandu Chaudhary from the same village was staking a claim on it. Paswan stated that he had all the necessary documents to prove his ownership of the land. The injured were admitted to the Sadar hospital for treatment.
Attack on Farmers
The clash occurred when a group of people from the opposing party attacked the farmers while they were working on their fields. The injured included Dharmendra Paswan, Jitendra Paswan, Ramji Paswan, Raju Paswan, Ramvati Devi, and Sheila Devi. A previous complaint had been lodged at the police station regarding the land dispute.
Police Investigation
The case has been registered based on the application filed by the injured party. The Deputy Superintendent of Police in Buxar, Dheeraj Kumar, confirmed that a case of violence between two parties had been reported and an investigation is underway. A total of 12 people have been named in the case as the investigation continues.
