Devotees throng Shiv temples in Bihar on third Monday of Sawan

Today is the third Monday of the holy month of Sawan. A large number of devotees have gathered at the major Shiv temples in Bihar to offer water. In Muzaffarpur’s Garibnath temple, a line stretching up to 6 km was seen, with around 6 lakh people offering water. Around 60 thousand devotees are at the temple.

Heavy rush at famous Shiv temples in Bihar

In Samastipur’s Thaneswar Sthan temple, around 25 thousand devotees have offered water. To control the crowd, male and female police personnel have been deployed in the temple premises. Separate entry and exit routes have been created for men and women in the temple’s sanctum sanctorum.

Large number of devotees visit Ajgaibinath Dham

A large number of devotees have also gathered at Ajgaibinath Dham in Sultanaganj, Bhagalpur. Devotees are heading towards Deoghar after offering water here. Police forces have been deployed to ensure the safety of the devotees.

Significance of the third Monday of Sawan

On the third Monday of Sawan, with the Ashlesha Nakshatra and Jayad Yoga, devotees will perform rituals and prayers to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. After the Jalabhishek throughout the day, a special evening aarti will take place at the temples.

आज पवित्र सावन माह की तीसरी सोमवारी है और बिहार के शिव मंदिरों में भक्तों की भीड़ देखने को मिल रही है। मुजफ्फरपुर के गरीबनाथ मंदिर में भी भक्तों की लंबी लाइन देखी गई है और समस्तीपुर के थानेवश्वर स्थान मंदिर में भी भक्तों की भीड़ है। अजगैबीनाथ धाम में भी भक्तों की भारी संख्या दिखी गई है। आज के दिन शिव की पूजा करने से स्वास्थ्य और मनोरथ पूर्ण होंगे और वैवाहिक जीवन में सुख और समृद्धि मिलेगी। भक्तों को शिव की कृपा प्राप्त हो।
