End of February Rainfall

The last February rainfall in Sachidanand, Patna has come to an end. Throughout the day, Bhahuwa, Rohtas, Aurangabad, and Gaya experienced rainy conditions, while late at night, Patna and Arwal saw rainfall with thunderstorms. The next three to four days are expected to be normal, but after that, rain is likely to make a comeback. During this time, there has been a continuous increase in temperatures, with the possibility of a strong western disturbance in the Western Himalayas on February 29th.

The impact of this western disturbance is expected to start showing as clouds in the western part of Bihar from March 1st. Between March 2nd and 4th, the spread of rainfall is expected in Bihar, including the capital city. The Bihar Meteorological Center has predicted rain in West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Madhubani, Darbhanga, and Samastipur between March 2nd and 3rd.

Rising Temperatures Despite Rain

Despite continuous rainfall, Bihar has been experiencing a steady increase in both maximum and minimum temperatures. On February 27th, there was an increase in temperatures in all districts during the day. The highest maximum temperature in Bihar during the day was recorded at 29.6°C in Vaishali, while the lowest minimum temperature at night was recorded at 8.6°C in Kishanganj. The end of the cold wave is approaching, with maximum temperatures in Bihar expected to be between 28°C and 30°C, and minimum temperatures between 12°C and 14°C.
