Smugglers attempt to crush police officers with their vehicle
On Tuesday, liquor smugglers attempted to crush Balwant Singh, the police station incharge, and his driver Vijay Kumar with their Scorpio on a rural road near Bala Simri village in Kutumba police station area. The officers were on bikes and were busy catching vehicles carrying liquor from Jharkhand to Aurangabad. The smugglers, who were coming from Palamu district in Jharkhand, tried to flee when signaled to stop by the police officers.
Narrow escape for police officers
In an attempt to escape, the smugglers hit the bike of the police station incharge and the driver, causing them to fall off the road. Fortunately, both officers survived the incident with minor injuries. They were then taken to Kutumba Referral Hospital for treatment, but due to the severity of their injuries, they were referred to Sadar Hospital for further medical attention.

The police station incharge stated that the smugglers managed to escape after hitting their bike. The incident has been reported to the authorities, and raids against liquor smugglers will continue. The Superintendent of Police, Hridaya Kant, confirmed that the officers’ bikes were stolen by the smugglers and that they have sustained injuries but are in stable condition.
