Booth Level Agents in Bihar Elections
In the Patna Lok Sabha elections, all political parties are giving slogans of booth-panch youth and booth-10 youth. However, the reality is that none of the political parties have official or second-level booth level agents in all the booths of Bihar. According to the list of booth level agents submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, the Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed booth level agents for the highest number of 44,183 booths across the state. The National Janata Dal is in second place with 35,170 booth level agents, while the Janata Dal United has 10,526 booth level agents. The Congress has only 1106 booth level agents.
Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha Elections in Bihar
Currently, a total of 77,221 booths have been set up for the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections in Bihar. The Election Commission expects cooperation from all political parties to appoint their booth level agents officially on all booths and also appoint two booth level agents. The list of such booth level agents should also be available with the Chief Electoral Officer’s office. The list of official and second-level booth level agents submitted by political parties is still vacant in many districts.
Valid Booth Level Agents
The Election Commission has given recognition to two types of booth level agents. Political parties with official booth level agents include 22 for BSP, 280 for BJP, 0 for CPI, 7 for CPI(M), 0 for Congress, 644 for RJD, 1111 for JDU, and 10 for Lok Janshakti Party. However, many districts have vacancies for the second-level booth level agents of major political parties. For example, BJP’s second-level booth level agent is not present in Samastipur district, while RJD’s second-level agents are not present in Banka, Araria, Nalanda, Rohtas, Supaul, Patna, Bhagalpur, Munger, and Madhubani districts. Similarly, JDU’s second-level agents are not present in Gaya, Jehanabad, Buxar, Bhojpur, Araria, Purnia, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Saharsa, Saran, Kishanganj, Rohtas, Supaul, Samastipur, Arwal, Gopalganj, Patna, Munger, and Khagaria districts.

शशिभूषण कुंवर ने पटनालोकसभा चुनाव में बूथ-पांच यूथ और बूथ-10 यूथ का नारा दिया है। बिहार में किसी भी राजनीतिक दल के पास बूथ लेवल एजेंट नहीं हैं। भारतीय जनता पार्टी ने 44,183 बूथों के लिए बूथ लेवल एजेंट की नियुक्ति की है, जबकि राष्ट्रीय जनता दल के पास 35,170 बूथ लेवल एजेंट हैं। जदयू के पास 10,526 बूथ लेवल एजेंट हैं और कांग्रेस के पास 1,106 बूथ लेवल एजेंट हैं। चुनाव आयोग ने दो तरह के बीएलए की मान्यता दी है, लेकिन कई जिलों में बीएलए-2 रिक्त हैं।
