Premi-Premika ki Shaadi
In a unique incident, a couple in love from Rudidiha village in the Patan block of Palamu district got married by the panchayat’s decree. The representatives of the panchayat were also present during the ceremony. The couple, Chhotu Kumar Ravi Pandwa and his girlfriend from Kundari village in Lesliganj, had been in a relationship for two years.
Proposal and Approval
On Friday evening, the couple eloped to the jungle in Rudidiha, hiding from their families. When the villagers became suspicious, they were questioned, and their relationship was revealed. They expressed their desire to live together, and the villagers informed the panchayat officials about the situation.
Marriage Decision
Indradev Umashankar Mahato, along with other village representatives, gathered in the field in front of Inter College to make the decision to solemnize the couple’s marriage. The villagers immediately arranged new clothes for the bride, exchanged garlands, applied sindoor on the bride’s forehead, and made the groom wear a mangalsutra.
Police Investigation
The villagers also informed the police about the marriage, and the girl’s family was notified. The police are currently investigating the matter after receiving information about the marriage. The love story that began with a chance meeting between the girl and the boy’s relative in the village has now culminated in a panchayat-sanctioned marriage.
