Teenage Lover Dies After Being Beaten Up in Bihar Village

  • A teenage boy, who had come to meet his girlfriend, died during treatment after being beaten up in Tumaul village of Ghanshyampur police station area.
  • The incident occurred on the night of 31 August, and the teenager passed away in the hospital on Tuesday.
  • The victim, identified as Saroj Yadav, was beaten with sticks and a gandasa and held hostage overnight.
  • After being informed about the incident, Saroj’s family members called for help and he was admitted to a private hospital in Benipur, but his condition did not improve.
  • Saroj was then referred to DMCH and later to PMCH, where he died during treatment on Tuesday.

Angry Relatives Protest at Girlfriend’s House

  • Saroj’s body was brought back to his home from Patna, causing chaos among the relatives.
  • Relatives and local residents became angry and took the body to Saroj’s girlfriend’s house, demanding that the last rites be performed there.
  • Police faced the anger of the people, but after convincing them, Saroj’s relatives took the body back to their village.
  • The last rites were performed on Wednesday due to the late hour.
  • The police arrested Saroj’s girlfriend, along with her mother and grandmother Anita Devi and Maya Devi.

FIR Filed Against Girlfriend and Others

  • Saroj’s brother filed an FIR for murder, accusing Saroj’s girlfriend, Shyam Chaupal, Radhe Chaupal, Pradeep Chaupal, Prayag Chaupal, Anita Devi, and Maya Devi.
  • Three of the accused have been arrested, and the police are conducting raids to apprehend the others.
