Dheeraj Kumar from Madhepura is known for his delicious and crispy mooli pakoras, which are a popular snack during the winter season. People flock to his shop in front of the SDM office in Kachahari Chowk from morning till evening to enjoy these mouthwatering pakoras. The mooli pakoras are available at his shop for Rs. 20 per 100 grams, and customers can also purchase a smaller portion for Rs. 10.
Deepak Rai, the owner of the breakfast shop, has been running the business for the past 20 years. Initially started by his father, Deepak took over the shop due to his father’s illness. Over the years, the popularity of his mooli pakoras has grown, and now people from the SDM office to the laborers in the area are all fans of his snack. Deepak sells around 20 to 25 kilograms of mooli pakoras every day, along with other breakfast items.
What sets Deepak’s mooli pakoras apart is that they are loved by everyone, from officers to laborers. He revealed that he uses 20-25 kilograms of radishes daily to make the pakoras. In addition to the pakoras, he also sells other snacks and breakfast items. The shop is open from 8 am to 9 pm, and customers can enjoy the crispy pakoras along with a chutney made with coriander and green chilies. The pakoras are made with a mixture of besan, onion, and various spices, giving them a unique and flavorful taste.
