Maintenance work on Rajendra Setu (Simaria Bridge) between Begusarai and Mokama
The maintenance work on the Rajendra Setu (Simaria Bridge) between Begusarai and Mokama is currently underway. Due to this, all traffic will be completely closed tonight. During this time, no vehicle will be allowed to pass. The agency carrying out the maintenance work has made administrative arrangements for the security forces on both sides of the Begusarai Bridge. The project manager, Arun Kumar Gupta, mentioned that there will be a slope of 123 meters in Span Number-4. Therefore, Rajendra Setu will be completely closed from 10 pm tonight until 6 am tomorrow.
Maintenance work in progress
The maintenance work on Rajendra Setu has been ongoing for several months. On the day when the slope work is carried out, traffic on the road will be completely halted. The maintenance work on the Simaria Bridge is also currently taking place. There will be no hindrances during the slope work, and the concrete will be properly set in place. After 6:00 am, traffic will be back to normal.
Appeal for alternate routes
An appeal has been made to people traveling from Rajendra Setu at night to use the Zero Mile to Teghra, Bachhwara, Hajipur route to go towards Patna. For those going to Lakhisarai, it will be easier to travel from Begusarai to Baliya, Sahibpur Kamal, and Munger Bridge routes. It is advised to follow these alternate routes for a smoother journey.
