A serious road accident occurred in Bihar early in the morning. Near the Ara-Mohaniya overbridge on the Jagdishpur-Devradh road, four vehicles collided due to thick fog and careless driving. This incident left six people injured, including the driver of a truck, with one person in critical condition.
Eyewitnesses reported that visibility was very low because of the fog. A truck loaded with grains was parked on the bridge, and an empty truck coming from behind couldn’t see it and crashed into it. Shortly after, a crane vehicle and a Swift Dezire car also collided as they could not avoid the accident in the fog.
The impact of the crashes was quite severe, injuring the driver of the empty truck and five others in the crane vehicle. The scene was chaotic, with people crying out for help as traffic came to a halt for some time. Thankfully, the truck loaded with grain managed to move away after the accident.
When the police arrived at the site, they, along with bystanders, rushed the injured to Jagdishpur Sub-Divisional Hospital. Medical staff is currently treating them, and one person is reported to be in critical condition and may need to be referred for advanced care. Most of the injured are from Uttar Pradesh.
