In a tragic incident, a cattle farmer was killed after being hit by a train while trying to save a buffalo near Kishanpur station in Samastipur-Darbhanga rail section. The deceased has been identified as Ramchandra Rai, a resident of Ward 10 in Kishanpur. The incident was reported to the GRP police who arrived at the scene. The body was taken into custody and sent to the Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

Relatives of the deceased arrived at the hospital to conduct the postmortem and shared that Ramchandra Rai sacrificed his life to save his buffalo. It is believed that he was trying to rescue the buffalo from an oncoming train but was unsuccessful and got hit. The incident has left the family and the community in shock and grief.
