Tragic Incident at Ganga Ghat
In a tragic incident at Barja Ghat in the Dhobaha police station area of Bhojpur district, a man named Munna Sah drowned in the Ganga river during the last rites of his great uncle. Munna Sah, a 30-year-old farmer from Sundarpur Barja village in the Bihia police station area, lost his life while performing the last rites.
Sequence of Events
Munna Sah’s great uncle, Vishwanath Sah, had passed away due to old age on Sunday. On Monday evening, family members and relatives had gathered at the Ganga Ghat in Barja to perform his last rites. While Munna Sah was washing his hands and face on the banks of the river, he slipped and fell into the water. Efforts were made to retrieve his body and he was taken to the hospital for postmortem.
Recovery Efforts and Postmortem
With the help of local fishermen and residents, Munna Sah’s body was eventually recovered from the river. The body was then taken for postmortem at the nearest hospital. Munna Sah was the eldest among his four brothers and is survived by his mother and three younger brothers ★Sonu Sah, Mantosh Sah, and Narad Sah.
Police Investigation
The incident was reported to the local police station, who arrived at the scene to conduct further investigation. The postmortem was carried out at the Sadar Hospital. The family and community members were left in shock by the tragic turn of events at the Ganga Ghat in Barja.
भोजपुर जिले के धोबहा थाना क्षेत्र बरजा घाट पर सोमवार को चचेरे दादा के दाह-संस्कार में गए पोते की गंगा नदी में डूबने से मौत हो गई। मृतक बिहिया थाना क्षेत्र के सुंदरपुर बरजा गांव निवासी रामेश्वर साह का 30 वर्षीय पुत्र मुन्ना साह है। जो पेशे से किसान था। उनके चचेरे दादा विश्वनाथ साह की अत्यधिक उम्र होने जाने के कारण रविवार को उनका देहांत हो गया था। सोमवार की देर शाम सभी लोग उनके शव का दाह-संस्कार करने के लिए बरजा गंगा नदी घाट के गए हुए थे, जहां बड़े भाई मुन्ना साह गंगा नदी के किनारे मुंह-हाथ धो रहे थे। उनका पैर फिसल गया और वह गंगा नदी में गिर पड़े। शव को पोस्टमॉर्टम के लिए अस्पताल लाया गया, जिसे मछुआरे और स्थानीय लोगों के सहयोग से बचाया गया।
