What’s inside:

A major fraud case involving a fake NGO has been uncovered in Motihari, where unemployed youth were scammed with promises of jobs.

In Motihari, a big fraud case has come to light involving a fake NGO that pretended to offer jobs to unemployed youth. This scam took place in East Champaran district, where fraudsters promised young people government jobs with a salary of ₹20,000 per month.

When the police learned about this, the Motihari Superintendent of Police, Swarna Prabhat, took immediate action. An FIR was lodged at Kotwa police station, and a raid was ordered to catch the people behind this scam. The seriousness of the situation led to the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to dig deeper into the case.

The fraudsters used a clever method to deceive young people. They took them to Muzaffarpur for training, making everything seem real. After training, they gave ID cards to these youths at the police station itself, leading many to believe they were genuinely part of the police force. This trick even affected the sons of local policemen, who were also cheated.

So far, it is reported that 41 unemployed youths have been cheated, with each losing between ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh. The fraudsters used digital payment methods to collect money, and police are now investigating these payment records. Locals believe that such a large scam could not have happened without help from some police officials.

SP Swarna Prabhat has made it clear that no one involved in this scam will escape punishment. He mentioned that if any police officer is found guilty, strict action will be taken against them as well. The police are actively searching for the operators of the fake NGO to ensure justice for the victims.
