The biggest Diwali celebration in Bihar was held in Munger on Saturday. The event took place in the premises of Bariarpur police station area in Munger district, where a grand festival of lights and a Ganga Mahaaarti were organized. A total of 7.51 lakh diyas (earthen lamps) were lit during the event. The Diwali celebration was organized by the Bariarpur Durga Maharani Kalyanpur Puja Committee, the Youth Club Kalyanpur, and with the support of Dr. Neetish Chandra Dubey, the Managing Director of the famous homeopathic company, The Burnett Company.

The event began with the worship of Goddess Durga followed by the lighting of diyas. The entire area of Munger was adorned with diyas, creating a mesmerizing sight. People from all walks of life participated in the celebration and offered their prayers to the Goddess. The Ganga Mahaaarti, a ritual of offering prayers to the holy river Ganga, was also performed as part of the event. The celebration of Diwali in Munger is considered to be the biggest in Bihar, attracting a large number of devotees and tourists.

The Diwali celebration in Munger not only showcased the cultural and religious significance of the festival but also promoted unity and harmony among the people.
