Truck Driver Shot by Road Robbers in Munger

In Munger, Bihar, a truck driver named Mukesh Kumar was shot by road robbers after they snatched his belongings near Dudhpaniya mode of Gangta forest. The incident took place on Jamui-Haveli Kharagpur NH-333. Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Afzalnagar Khudiya village, Tarapur block, sustained a gunshot wound in his waist. The police arrived at the scene and immediately rushed the injured driver to Kharagpur Health Center for treatment. After receiving first aid, he was referred to Bhagalpur for further medical attention. Tarapur MLA Rajiv Kumar Singh also visited the health center to gather information about the incident from the injured driver.

Details of the Incident

According to Mukesh Kumar, he was traveling to Jamui in an empty truck when he reached the Dudhpania turn. At this point, six armed miscreants forcefully stopped the truck and boarded it. A fight broke out and the miscreants snatched the driver’s mobile phone and 2200 rupees in cash. When Mukesh Kumar protested, he was shot in the waist. Fortunately, the doctor confirmed that his condition is stable and out of danger. After the incident, the robbers fled the scene on their bikes. The police have launched raids to arrest the culprits.

FIR Filed for Shop Vandalism and Firing

The police responded to the information and surrounded the shop, leading to the arrest of five suspects.
